Pedro Palma
Director
Pedro Palma is one of the most influential and respected economists in Venezuela and Latin America. A founding member and former president of Venezuela’s National Academy of Economic Sciences, he has devoted his career to macroeconomic analysis, applied research, and the economic forecasting tools that now serve as a regional benchmark.
He is a managing partner at Ecoanalítica and the founder of Metroeconómica, a pioneer in economic research and macroeconomic monitoring in Venezuela.
His experience spans academia, strategic consulting, and business leadership. He has served as president of VenAmCham and vice president of Booz Allen Hamilton, leading high-impact projects for companies and institutions across the region.
With Nobel laureate Lawrence Klein, he developed ModVen, one of the most advanced econometric models built for the Venezuelan economy.
He is a professor emeritus at IESA, a member of the Wharton School’s Executive Board for Latin America, and a member of the executive committee of the LINK Project run by the United Nations and the University of Pennsylvania.
An economist trained at UCAB, he holds an MBA and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Armando Grisanti

A specialist in corporate finance, financial structuring, and business valuation since 1991, Armando Grisanti has led Ecoanalítica’s Corporate Finance division since he founded it in 2004.
He brings more than three decades of experience advising companies, both domestic and international, along with investors and multilateral organizations (CAF, the IDB, and the IMF) on financial restructuring, strategic planning, debt issuance, and capital-structure optimization.
He has evaluated and financed infrastructure projects for multilateral institutions such as CAF and the IDB, giving him a comprehensive view of financial sustainability, economic and institutional viability, and corporate growth in complex markets.
A certified securities broker and investment advisor licensed by Venezuela’s National Securities Superintendency (SUNAVAL), he has led debt issuances, debt placements, and the preparation of both public and private prospectuses.
He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Metropolitan University (UNIMET), an MBA with a concentration in Finance from IESA, and an M.Sc. in Reinforced Concrete Structures from the Polytechnic University of Milan.

Graciela Urdaneta

An economist specializing in energy and macroeconomic analysis, Graciela Urdaneta leads Ecoanalítica’s economic research practice in Venezuela.
She has more than 15 years of experience in strategic consulting, applied research, and economic analysis for companies, multilateral institutions, and public agencies.
Her career includes positions at EY (Ernst & Young), Alstom, and the Economic Service of the French Embassy in Venezuela, along with work on energy infrastructure, energy efficiency, public policy, and strategic planning.
She has partnered with organizations such as CAF, Banesco, and government agencies on high-impact initiatives in energy, economic development, and sustainability.
Beyond her research, she teaches as a visiting professor at IESA.
She holds a degree in economics from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) and a master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Economics and Policy from the French Institute of Petroleum in France.
Naomi SIlva

Economista especializada en análisis macroeconómico, econometría e investigación aplicada, Naomi Silva participa en el desarrollo de modelos económicos, análisis regionales y estudios estratégicos para clientes corporativos e institucionales de Ecoanalítica.
Su trabajo se enfoca en investigación económica, análisis de vulnerabilidad financiera y desarrollo de herramientas cuantitativas orientadas a la toma de decisiones.
Ha participado en proyectos de consultoría empresarial y elaboración de informes especializados sobre economía venezolana e internacional, combinando capacidades analíticas con experiencia académica y de investigación.
Forma parte de la Escuela Latinoamericana de Estudios del Desarrollo (ELADES) y de la cohorte 2025 del Programa de Estudios sobre Políticas del Desarrollo de la CEPAL.

Isabel Ávila

An economist specializing in macroeconomic analysis, business intelligence, and market research, Isabel Ávila is a member of Ecoanalítica’s economic research team.
Her experience includes work at the UK Office of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth, and Development, as well as participation in economic and financial analyses related to international integration processes. She has conducted research and projects related to impact assessment, business intelligence, agent-based modeling, and machine learning, among others. In addition, she teaches Macroeconomics I at the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB).
She holds a degree in economics from the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB), where she received an Honorable Mention for her thesis. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Data Science, Big Data & Business Analytics at the Complutense University of Madrid and has completed training in market research accredited by IESA.
Julio Rodriguez

An economist specializing in macroeconomic analysis, business intelligence, and applied data science, Julio Rodríguez participates in economic research and strategic consulting projects for international organizations and corporate clients.
His experience includes preparing economic projections and analyzing inflation, fiscal and monetary policy, the financial sector, and international trade.
He complements his economic background with technical skills in data analysis, dashboard development, and business intelligence tools designed to optimize financial and operational processes.
He has also served as a speaker in specialized courses and workshops on business intelligence tools and data analysis.

Alfonsina Medina

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a concentration in Public Policy from the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC). She has technical training in Public Administration and Taxation, as well as in data analysis and processing using R, data visualization with Power BI, and basic knowledge of SQL and Python applied to economic analysis and process automation.
She has experience in both the public and private sectors in data analysis, economic research, strategic processes, and the preparation of technical reports. She is currently part of the research team at Ecoanalítica, where she focuses on macroeconomic and data analysis, particularly regarding the Dominican Republic.
His areas of interest include macroeconomic analysis, the evaluation of public policies and projects, econometrics, behavioral economics, and political science.
Dayda Verónica Guerrero

She has more than 20 years of experience in negotiation, market research, and business development in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, textiles, agro-industry, and water treatment.
Her career has focused on building strategic networks, managing complex portfolios, and strengthening long-term corporate relationships.
In addition to her executive experience, she serves as a graduate-level professor at IESA, where she teaches courses on Strategic Marketing and B2B Marketing.

He has more than a decade of commercial-management experience at leading companies in Venezuela, including Nielsen de Venezuela, where he built a market perspective grounded in data and consumer intelligence. For the past four years, he has helped companies design and evolve their business models, connect capital with private ventures, and forge alliances that link Venezuela’s business ecosystem to international networks for funding and scale.
He serves as a teaching assistant for IESA’s Master’s in Marketing program. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering, specializes in project management, and holds a master’s degree in marketing.
